The Sound of OPEN Topics 2021/22.
So, here we are, after two years of living in a state of uncertainty, welcome to 2022! In 2021 we decided that the best way to look forward was to reflect, look backward, to see what lessons could be garnered. In that spirit, we invite you to enjoy this musical look back and ponder your path forward in 2022 and beyond.

Forward
Freedom by Pharell Williams, because this song exemplifies our mission of interweaving stories, design and culture. Freedom for us is also about letting go of negative and inflexible ideas, focusing on empowering ideas instead.
Unhappiness, discord, strife, meanness, ignorance and a whole of other nouns and adjectives that we, by now, know all too intimately. I mean, who actually wants to feel that way, experience those things, any more than necessary? They’re so 2020. Maybe, we can all agree to disagree. That, I think, would be progress.

I look at a bird and I see myself, a native South African soaring above the injustices of apartheid on the wings of pride, the pride of a beautiful people.” — Miriam Makeba
